Cathay Pacific Embarks On Europe Network Expansion

HONG KONG, 3 DEC | Hong Kong based carrier, Cathay Pacific, is set to launch routes to 2 new destinations in Europe- Munich and Brussels. With these new routes, the airline will provide 93 return flights per week to 11 cities in Europe next summer.
Flights to Belgium's capital in Brussels (BRU) resume 4x weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) from 3 August 2025. The route was last operated in October 2019, before it was terminated as part of network restructuring. The outbound service CX291 departs HKG at 11.35pm, arriving in BRU at 7.05am the next day. The inbound service CX294 later departs BRU at 4.15pm, arriving in HKG at 9.45am the following day. There are no other competitors on this route.
Flights to Munich (MUC) - the carrier's second German destination- will launch 4x weekly (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) from 16 June 2025. The outbound service CX301 departs HKG at 1.10am, arriving in MUC at 7.55am the same day. The inbound service CX300 later departs MUC at 2pm, arriving in HKG at 6.55am the day after. There are no other competitors on this route, with the only German connection being to Frankfurt (FRA) by Lufthansa and Cathay Pacific.
Both these routes will be operated by Cathay Pacific's state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 jets. The jet has 280 seats, including 38 lie-flat Business Class seats (1-2-1 layout), 28 Premium Economy seats (2-4-2), and 214 Economy seats (3-3-3).
